I guess everyone should have known by now that 207 is the last chapter for nurarihyon to be in WSJ ...... is the next chapter in jump next, the final one? There are some comments in the chinese forum saying that the manga only just been transferred to jump next. Hope it's just transferring!!!!!~!!!!! To have nurarihyon no mago 3 times a year is better than sudden ending!
Even its ranking is low in the WSJ, its volumes are selling well and sales ranking for each volume is still quite high (even though the ranking is gradually dropping), so I do hope the editors will allow this arc will be flesh out for another 3 or 4 chapters, or another volume before ending. Zzz to end just as the action is getting interesting again.
The foxy lady did mentioned that she wants to talk to both seimei and rikuo, especially that samurai guy, whoever he is. I don't think the mangaka will be introducing a new mysterious guy just before the final chapter...(later edited: oh that's not a samurai... It's just the scene where foxy lady got thrown into hell by her son.)

I wonder how will the romance be like for the final chapter (that is if the next chapter is final)... Will Rikuo choose someone? As someone who loves reading shoujo manga and someone who actually read this manga for the romance, I reallly dislike manga ending with the romance strings untied.*Sigh*
*later edit* sigh the next chapter in jump next will be the final. May there be a Loooooooong epilogue in the last volume, even if the mangaka never squeeze it in the jump next.

DeleteLooking at how tsurara appears in almost as many pages as rikuo in chapter 207 (rikuo 13 pages, tsurara 11 pages and aotabou 9 pages), and how often she shares the panels with rikuo in the manga, more than anyone (male or female), (I always wonder why the mangaka bother to draw one quarter of her head in the panel. Not that I'm complaining, in fact I love it, and find it funny.) I think that maybe the mangaka is actually a closet tsurara fan :P
Not sure where their source was (so not sure if true), but I remember hearing that Tsurara's design is supposedly based on his wife (it is not uncommon for Mangaka to base the female leads after their own crushes/girlfriends/wives). Maybe thats why he likes drawing her XD

DeleteIf it continues, it will be Jump SQ, WSJ's monthly sister. However, WSJ will just announce the Manga's end, move or continuation in SQ would be announced by NEXT or SQ.
Seeing as Hiroshi just got a daughter, it would not be surprising if he moves his franchise there rather than spend years trying to get a brand new Manga serialized. However, thats just a theory...
Well, we will see in few months what happens. I am just sure that this cancellation was weird. People who follow cancellations and ToC rankings for years were shocked by what happened yesterday.
this is the first time that a manga that I followed got cancelled or shifted into another magazine... so don't really know what will happen... I thought lyxian said that the next chapter will be final?
DeleteAs long as the manga is selling, he will get his royalities. If he gets 50 cents for every book sold, he should be a millionaire by now. So he might try to start a new manga.
Well all things will come to an end but hopefully they will end it properly .
